Entering the restaurant you feel like you have just landed on a Caribbean
Island. With a Tiki Bar on the deck, and Island music playing and
Island decor in the dining room you will definitely feel you have escaped
the mainland to an Island in the Canadian keys. We are located in
the southern most part of Canada.
In the main Inn, there are six rooms that
share two common washrooms, with privacy doors, crown moldings and
tongue and groove wood giving these bathrooms a clean rich look.
The common living room with a television is full of antiques giving you
that relaxing into the past attitude.
Located in the blue waters of Lake Erie's
western basin, Pelee Island is the largest of the Lake Erie Islands and
Canada's most southerly inhabited point.
If you are looking for a peaceful respite
from your routine, Pelee Island is definitely for you. Enjoy the
quiet hospitality of the Anchor & Wheel Inn's Bed & Breakfast or Guest
Room accommodations. Camping is also an option.
The small-town charm of Pelee Island is
unknown to most mainlanders - and those who know it prefer to keep it
their secret! Clean, fresh air and frequent blue skies,
spectacular sunsets and clear, starry nights can be expected.
Fishing is a favorite pastime, and some of
the best catches of pickerel (walleye) around can be had off Pelee's
surrounding reefs. Small mouth bass are also plentiful, even from
the shoreline and docks.
Explore unspoiled nature reserves and
beaches, as well as lighthouse and winery ruins. Bicycle on
country roads, swim in clean, sandy-bottomed waters, but most of all,
RELAX!
